Timothy Bergquist, PhD

Tim Bergquist retired as Professor Emeritus of Quantitative Analysis at Northwest Christian University in May 2015 after 19 years of full-time teaching.  He served 20 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a Major in 1991.  He then completed a PhD at the University of Oregon in 1996. His academic background also includes a BS in Mathematics (University of Portland, 1971), a BA in History (Northwest Christian University, 2015), a MS in Statistics (University of Louisiana at Lafayette, 1973), a MBA (Santa Clara University, 1975), and a MS in Operations Research (Oregon State University, 1985).  He is a member of two (was six) professional organizations, four philatelic organizations, the co-author of one statistics textbook, and the author or co-author of over 20 articles and 50 conference papers.  He is also a Professionally Accredited Statistician (PStat).  He received the President's Award for Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership in 2013 and the Clio Award in History in 2015.
